Friends at UVa
With all of us reaching, and some surpassing, our 25th annual college reunion, a group of us decided to head on back to the old UVa for a weekend of fun, reminiscing and catching up on how our University has grown. What a great surprise it was to see that The U has continued to keep tradition alive and well while integrating students and ideas from a much more diverse number of backgrounds than in our day.
As we merrily enjoyed the lively conversations as Seven Sour Sippers in Room 7 on the Lawn, we sat in muted but impressed silence as Jeff Hall went through its paces seamlessly honoring old traditions, adding one or two since our time, and continuing with the rowdy, freeform debate we always loved and now honor. Maybe next time we’ll add our two cents.
